Rubber Manufacturing Blog / Equipment / Safety while working on Injection units

We have the need to periodically work on the injection units of our vertical machines.  These units are anywhere from 8-20 feet in the air.
I'm wondering if any other company requires safety harnesses while working on these to either clean rubber out from where the nozzle meets the bolster or any other electrical or water line, etc.
Currently we get what we can from our scissor lift but still have occasions where we have to climb on the unit.

I look forward to hearing how other people deal with this issue.
